Lecture outline
Economic globalization and in particular the accompanying expansion of the movement of people and the rapid deepening of relations between Japan and surrounding Asian countries is increasingly causing large changes in food production and distribution. This lectures attempts to make multi-faceted considerations on the current state of these changes and the long-term impact on Asian countries including Japan, by focusing on aspects such as food production and distribution, food safety and food culture. As lecturers we have invited researchers who study in fields related to food and experts that are active at the front lines of government agencies, companies, etc.
