Introduction of lecturer:
CHI Myong Kwan (池明観)
Born in 1924. He was a major religious and philosophy in Soul University. Under the dictatorship by president Park-chung Hee, Chi was the editor of chief of monthly journal “Sasang-gye” to gather the intellectual and cultured persons who made the movement of democratization.
After the to study abroad to Union Theological Seminary in United states, he came to Japan in 1972. He studied in The University of Tokyo, and became to Professor of Tokyo Women’s University till he go back to Korea in 1993. In Korea, he made the important posts, for example the chairman of Japan-Korea Joint Historical Research Organization, chairman an advisory committee of Korea- Japan cross-cultural exchange, the president of Institute of Japanese studies, the Hallym Academy of Science Hallym University, and it makes the foundation of exchange of Japan and Korea.
In August 2003, he published that the underground communication named “Communication from Korea” sent by “student T.K” (May 1973-march 1988) was anonymous international co-project by him.
